Should you consider Yoga to lose weight?

Yoga came up about in about 5 separate conversations yesterday in my weight loss coaching calls.  Is yoga good for weight loss?

I do a few minutes almost daily, and it wakes my body up, and gets me ready for the day. The video above is a quick introduction to yoga, and some basic poses you can do at home.

A lot of people think yoga is a big ordeal that’s uncomfortable, embarrassing, or only for women, but that’s not the truth. There are certainly more efficient ways to burn calories, but yoga can be great to get your heart rate up without a lot of high impact exercises.   I would check with your doctor before doing any new exercise or hot yoga.

Like I said, I do a few minutes almost daily it wakes my body up, stretches out my muscles, and gets me ready to have an excellent day.  Try a few of these moves at home and you may be surprised!
